Description: Topic: The healthcare industry is experiencing a sea change throughout the nation - and in Idaho. Healthcare costs continue to rise - and the rate of the increases is continuing to increase again. Medicare continues to increase its rules for providers, while decreasing many of the reimbursements. The Idaho Medicaid Program is exploring an overhaul. Over 70,000 Idahoans enrolled in health care coverage through Your Health Idaho. Additional fees and penalties are now being assessed on insured employers. Medical research continues, at a significant cost. What do all of these many changes mean for our State's healthcare system? To learn the perspective of the agencies that regulate our local healthcare system, come hear from executive leaders from the Idaho Departments of Insurance and Health & Welfare.
